Movie Review: 'Before Midnight'
It started 18 years ago with the movie “Before Sunrise,” when a young couple, Jesse and Celine, played by Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, first meet on a train and spend a magical night together in Vienna. Nine years later brought us “Before Sunset” where they reunite in Paris. Now comes “Before Midnight,” once again directed by Richard Linklater, where this couple, vacationing in Greece, have been partners for many years and have children together.

EW Movie Review: 'Iron Man 3'
“Iron Man 3” is an ominously exciting, shoot-the-works comic-book spectacular. It keeps throwing things at you, but not with the random, busy franchise indifference that marked the hollow and grandiose “Iron Man 2.”

EW Movie Review: 'Greetings from Tim Buckley'
Jeff Buckley was the quietest of rock idols. He sang in a high soft tremor and released his one and only album, “Grace,” in 1994, and three years later he drowned in the Wolf River in Memphis. He was only 31, and his death was an accident. But did he die, on some level, due to karmic demons?

Terrence Malick’s “To the Wonder” is the work of a director who now sees himself as a holy poet of cinema. The film's style is ethereal and incantatory, with a soundtrack woven out of whispers and classical music.

EW Movie Review: 'Trance'
I love a good mind-bender, but it’s getting more and more common to see thrillers that don’t so much bend your mind as chop it, smash it and stick it in the Cuisinart. “Trance,” the new movie by Danny Boyle, director of “Trainspotting” and “Slumdog Millionaire,” is a high-brainiac, art-world thriller that wants to do nothing more or less than give your head a pleasurable spin.

EW Movie Review: 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation'
As befits a commando team inspired by a 49-year-old series of Hasbro toy soldiers, the G.I. Joes in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” are a squad of government combat renegades so wholesome and upstanding that they make the A-Team look like unsavory street punks. The squareness ends, though, with their one-dimensional personalities.
