GOP convention ready for day full of speakers after short kickoff Monday

TAMPA, Fla. — Republicans are expected to get down to business at their national convention Tuesday.
The kickoff of the event was a minimal one Monday afternoon. Due to concerns about Isaac, the convention was only in session for about 10 minutes. After spending the morning at their hotel for a planning session, North Carolina delegates will head over to the Convention where activities are expected to begin around 2 p.m.
