HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Some shoppers have been waiting for weeks to get their hands on clothing and accessories at deep discounts. The Charlotte Warehouse Sale is one of many pop-up-shops opening their doors for the NC tax-free shopping weekend.

Shoppers can snag brand name items at sale prices and they say shopping during the tax free weekend saves even more money.

"I've been coming to these sales for several years now and I think it's a great way to get brand name products without paying the mall prices," said one customer.

The Charlotte Warehouse Sale only opens its doors a few times a year. Business owners say the tax-free weekend can be lucrative since many people are looking for back to school items. Owners also say opening a store for a few hours not only makes a decent amount of money but it cuts down on fixed costs and overhead that traditional stores have to pay.
