CHARLOTTE – Drivers had a difficult time getting around north Charlotte most of the day Tuesday. A busy stretch of Graham Street was closed to allow crews to shoot scenes for the upcoming Cinemax show 'Banshee.'

The closures created headaches for drivers navigating around the busy thoroughfare. Some business owners within those road blocks say it also put a big dent in the day's profits.

"I could have warned some people we were going to be closed,” said Danny Yiottis, owner of Tatsis restaurant. “You can't get to us so there's no need to try and come.”

He said he only learned of the closure late Monday night when a friend saw it on the news.

"We've fixed some orders to go, but those people said they couldn't get to us so we threw the stuff away," added Yiottis.

Across the street, John Davis, owner of McGee Lumber Company spent his day rubbing elbows with the cast and crew.

“I'll remember it the rest of my life," said Davis.

Tuesday's scenes were shot in his yard and a number of his employees served as forklift driving extras.

"We knew this was going to be a major inconvenience but this is something you don't see everyday. This is sort of fun," he added.

'Banshee' is set to air sometime next year. The Showtime series "Homeland" is also currently shooting its second season around the Charlotte area.
