iRig Mix

There are plenty of virtual DJ'ing apps for mobile devices but for serious DJs looking for
serious mixing hardware via their phone or tablet, there's IK Multimedia's iRig Mix. It can be used either with IK's DJ Rig app or pretty much any other DJing app and users can plug in either one or two iOS devices, plus there's an extra guitar or mic input.

Developers say there are two stereo inputs with gain, bass, treble and volume controls, independent cue on each channel with LED indication and channel crossfader: Which to those of us who are better at just listening to DJs means, this isn't a toy, a good DJ can put on a serious show with this thing. The iRig Mix is out now for $99. It does come with four apps though, DJ Rig, AmpliTube, VocaLive, and GrooveMaker.

iRig MIC Cast

The same company is also out now with the iRig MIC Cast: A small, high quality microphone that easily plugs right into the top of your iOS device.

Professionally it can be used for things like recording podcasts, lectures, interviews or can simply offer higher quality sound for one on one phone calls or conference calls. Developers say it works with all phone calls and voice over IP apps. This one also comes with some free apps, iRig Recorder and VocaLive. The iRig MIC Cast is out now for $40.
