MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- An injured Marine from Mooresville received a hero's welcome Friday. Cpl. Garrett Carnes lost both legs after he stepped on an IED during his second tour in Afghanistan. The Patriot Guard escorted him Friday evening as he returned to Mooresville from a hospital in Maryland.
