Raleigh mayor says planning needed after weather crisis

(RALEIGH) - Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker says planning is needed to handle another weather crisis like the one that paralyzed the capital on Wednesday with an inch or so of snow.

Meeker says he wants a review of the traffic gridlock that he called a nightmare in which some motorists spent hours on slick city streets trying to get home.

The mayor says he wants to examine weather forecasting and the
decisions that were made to close schools,
