WINSTON-SALEM – Police officers and authorities from the Drug Enforcement Agency and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms raided a home Friday afternoon in an upscale neighborhood on Coral Garden Lane

Officers on the scene did not provide any information about their investigation.

A similar scene unfolded a few weeks back on Sprague Street in Winston-Salem. The FBI swarmed a home there on July 24. No details were available at the time and it wasn't until this week that the reason for the raid was learned.

A grand jury indictment found Ramiro Roman, Angel Lorenzo and Inocensia Medel Banos intended to defraud, smuggle and attempt to smuggle firearms, ammunition and firearm accessories from Winston-Salem to Mexico.
