FAYETTEVILLE – While much of the country is dealing with a serious drought, according to the Fayetteville Observer, North Carolina's corn growers are expected to cash in on one of their best crops in years.
The drought has sent corn prices soaring to record highs and some farmers say they could see a 40 percent increase in profits this year.
But farmers say while this year is good, they're always only one storm away from total crop destruction.
