RALEIGH – Both presidential candidates are spending big to take the Tar Heel state, but the polls say their efforts aren't changing much.
According to the Raleigh News and Observer, the campaigns have spent a combined $38 million for television ads in N.C. so far, including over $12 million in July alone.
The polls say the race is still a dead heat with undecided voters falling to around three percent.
It could come as frustrating news for the Romney campaign, which has spent nearly twice as much as the Obama campaign.
