RALEIGH – The North Carolina Utilities Commission has set two more hearings in its probe of the Duke Energy CEO shakeup.

Commissioners want former Progress Energy CEO Bill Johnson to testify next Thursday about his firing just minutes after Duke and Progress merged.

The commission also wants to hear from members of Duke's board of directors and they've asked the company to turn over meeting minutes and other documents that could relate to the leadership change.

Regulators want to know why they weren't told about efforts to remove Johnson, which started before the commission issued its final approval of the merger.
