WINSTON-SALEM – Later tonight, drivers in Winston-Salem traveling U.S. 52 will see another change. The DOT is permanently closing the Third, Fourth and Fifth Street exit ramps at U.S. 52 South.

The closure is part of an effort to streamline traffic flow on the highway, which in turn is supposed to help improve motorist safety and reduce congestion.

In the next coming weeks the DOT will also permanently close the Third, Fourth and Fifth Street entrance ramps at U.S. 52 North.
