CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte City Amateur will tee it up in August but Monday was the open qualifier for the event at Pine Island Country Club. Ninety three players teed it up for 42 available spots in the tournament.

Those that made it through will head to Cedarwood Country Club on Aug. 17, followed by Carmel Country Club on the Aug. 18, with Charlotte Country Club hosting the final day.
