RALEIGH — Drivers should expect heavy traffic when making plans to drive for the July 4 holiday.
Officials with the Department of Transportation said they are suspending most road construction on major routes to help alleviate traffic pains. Authorities suggest people leave for their destination early and to travel during non-peak hours.
