HIGH POINT — The city of High Point is asking electric customers to reduce their use.
The city manager says the electrical system is struggling to keep up with demand. Saturday morning, he put out a request for customers to raise their thermostats to 75 degrees and avoid using electrical appliances.
While the high temperatures persist, energy customers in the city should try to lessen their use to avoid overloading the system.
