Winston-Salem – NASCAR pros are teaming up with leaders of Winston-Salem State University's motor-sports management program to inspire young minds in the Diversity in Motion Camp.

This week, they're holding a summer camp for hundreds of kids. They're showing them the ins and outs of racing.

These professionals are hoping to show students that racing is a team sport and about more than just getting behind the wheel of a car.

"You're able to show them it's not just one guy in the car driving around in a circle. There are a lot of people involved in getting this thing going,” said Ade Herbert with Rev Racing.

"What they do is really inspiring, because I would love to race," said camper Shayne Osbey.

The Diversity in Motion Camp continues through Wednesday.
