WINSTON-SALEM – Forsyth County commissioners approved more than $700,000 in incentives Monday night for Pepsi to bring more jobs to Winston-Salem. It came in less than the $1 million the Winston-Salem City Council approved last week.
County leaders approved the 10-year package on the condition that Pepsi keep 300 jobs, transfer another 200 to Forsyth County – most which are already filled – and invest more than $81 million in the area.
The company wants to move from its current facility on Myer Lee Drive.
There's no word on when Pepsi Bottling Venture is expected to make a decision.
