GREENSBORO -- Guilford County High School students have turned their thoughts about 9/11 into art projects for the anniversary. The National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad challenged the students to reflect on the attacks, then create art to honor the people who died while reflecting on a more peaceful world.

The art contest is called "I Will."

"Our question for our young people around the county is 'what will you do? what will you do to make a difference? what will you do to fight bias, bigotry and racism? and what will you do to make sure that September 11 is something that does not happen again'" said Susan Feit from the NCCJ of the Piedmont Triad.

The NCCJ also has a Wall of Reflection, a sheet people around the community can sign to pledge their own commitments to make a difference. It will be on display Sunday at the White Oak Amphitheatre, where the art contest winners will be announced.
