FAYETTEVILLE – Cumberland County authorities charged a Terry Sanford High School senior with last week's school bus vandalism.
Authorities arrested 19-year-old Allen Lloyd Terrell at school on Friday morning.
They say Terrell and at least two others damaged buses at Ramsey Street Alternative School, on Quincy Street, during the early morning hours of Aug. 24.
Police say Terrell broke into two buses and damaged seats, video cameras and safety equipment.
"I don't know about you but i would like my tax dollars to go to something more productive rather than to clean up something that someone else has done as a result of a crime," said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Terrell is charged with felony breaking and entering and several misdemeanor charges.
