GREENSBORO -- People who oppose Arizona's immigration bill came together Saturday in Greensboro for a rally organized by the group Standing on the Side of Love.

They group supports equal treatment of immigrants and feel Arizona's proposed policy is unfair.

"We want people of North Carolina to understand that there's another way we can look at this issue that there's other ways to answer those problems that come along with having so many people here who are undocumented," said organizer Steve Pearsell.

One person turned out to show his support of Arizona's effort.

"I think borders need to be protected. I think it's the primary job of the federal government and they're not doing it," protestor Richard Kohn said.

Just hours before it was to take effect this week, a judge blocked key components of the law, including the requirement that all immigrants carry their papers at all times.
