Coyotes' Bryzgalov shut out Hurricanes
RALEIGH -- Ilya Bryzgalov made 29 saves for his NHL-leading eighth shutout, and Lee Stempniak and Martin Hanzel each scored twice to help the Phoenix Coyotes beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0 on Saturday night.
Stempniak has four goals in his last two games and five since joining the Coyotes in a trade with Toronto. Adrian Aucoin had two assists.
Phoenix won its fourth straight and snapped the Hurricanes' home winning streak at eight. Justin Peters made 16 saves for Carolina, 13-4-1 in its last 18 games.
