RALEIGH – Tuesday marks one year since Tony Tata began work as the Wake County School System's superintendent.
Since he began, the school board has implemented a new school choice program recommended by him and the majority on the board has shifted from Republicans to Democrats.
The system also faced the possibility of losing its accreditation, lawsuits and investigations.
Tata will hold a weekly briefing with reporters Tuesday.
