WINSTON-SALEM--Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory made a campaign stop in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

He spoke to young professionals at a meet and greet event.

McCrory said he believes young people will head to the polls in record numbers.

"This year it's not hard to get young people motivated at all because these young people's future is dependent upon this election and they're tired of negative attacks on me and our presidential candidate and they want positive leadership for the future,” said McCrory.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Walter Dalton will also be speaking to fellow Democrats in Asheville during the 52nd annual "Western Gala."
