CHAPEL HILL -- UNC's 18th Rameses mascot has died. Rameses, who is a staple at UNC football games passed away Thursday of natural causes.

The eight-year ram will be buried at Hogan's Magnolia View Farm. The Hogan family has cared for every ram since 1924.

To fill the shoes as UNC's 19th Rameses will be a 2-year-old ram called Bam Bam.
