GUILFORD, N.C. – Officials continue to remind the public about the North Carolina Safe Surrender Law.
The law allows an overwhelmed parent to surrender a baby up to seven days old to a responsible adult and walk away with no questions asked.
This reminder comes on the heels of a newborn that was abandoned in Guilford county earlier this week.
