FAYETTEVILLE -- It seems one seat in the North Carolina Senate will be all but decided on Tuesday.

Billy King and Robert Clark III will compete in a Democratic primary runoff on Tuesday for NC Senate District 21.

There is no Republican on the ballot, so the winner of Tuesday's runoff will likely win the election in November. Both candidates know that creating jobs is currently the biggest issue on voters' minds.

"What you do is you increase the number of individuals who are highly educated, highly skilled, and that tends to serve as an attractor for business. So by doing that, we will likely bring more businesses into our community," said Clark.

King has stated, "I'm committed to looking at incentives, tax rebates, any kind of effort the state has available to pursue the creation of jobs."

District 21 covers all of Hoke County and parts of Cumberland County.
