HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. – Scooter, the paralyzed dog, has found a new home in Harnett County. Theresa Rejent adopted him Saturday.
The Cumberland County Animal Shelter rescued the border collie mix after a resident saw the dog trying to drag himself by his front legs. Scooter is paralyzed from the waist down.
He became mobile again with help from a special, donated wheelchair from Florida based www.handicappedpets.com.
It's still not clear what led to Scooter's handicap.
