Lockdown lifted for two schools following bomb threat at Wilmington nursing home

WILMINGTON--The situation involving a bomb threat at a Wilmington nursing home is over.

Therefore the lockdown of two nearby schools has been lifted. Deputies were called to Liberty Commons Retirement Home earlier Friday for the bomb threat.. Authorities searched the building and found nothing.

During the investigation, Hoggard High School and Grise Middle School locked their doors as a precaution. Those schools have now resumed normal activity.
