CHARLOTTE -- A planned transportation hub near Bank of America Stadium is moving forward. The Department of Transportation and the city of Charlotte have issued a request for qualifications from developers with experience in urban mixed use projects.
It's the next step to building the Gateway Station transportation hub. Gateway Station will serve as a central hub for Amtrak, Greyhound bus service, CATS and streetcar service, along with the north corridor commuter rail project and the greenway system.
