STANLY COUNTY, N.C. -- A man accused of assaulting his nephew and leading authorities on a high speed chase was arrested Wednesday. The Stanly County Sheriff's Office says Shawn Pendleton, 34, crashed in a field on Hilco Road and took off on foot but was eventually found by a k-9 officer.

Pendleton is charged with assault, traffic violations and felony fleeing to elude arrest.
