ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — The 43rd annual Lumbee homecoming celebration is under way in Robeson County.
The celebration is put on by the Lumbee Regional Development Association. The events attract thousands of Lumbees, many that may no longer live in Robeson County.
"It gives an opportunity for everybody to come home and visit and they just congregate and do the things that we normally do," said Event coordinator Jack Lowery.
The Lumbee outdoor market, which features 27 vendors this year, is open everyday at 9 a.m. The festival concludes Saturday with a parade.
