CHARLOTTE—Police made an arrest in the murder of a teenager found dead in southwest Charlotte.

Arrest made in murder of southwest Charlotte teenager
Eddie Doh, 23, is charged with the murder of Aerial Patterson. Doh has a history of arrests ranging from possession of a firearm by a felon to armed robbery, in addition to murder.

Investigators said a friend dropped the 17-year-old off at a vacant house on Arbroath Ct. Friday night. Patterson was supposed to meet someone there.

When her friend returned to pick Patterson up, she was found dead in the yard. It was not what neighbors expected to see when they woke up Saturday morning.

“It don't make you feel real well. We've never had nothing like this happen in this neighborhood. [To] wake up in a cul de sac full of police cars, detectives, fire trucks, ambulances and a dead body," said neighbor Scott Toney.

Doh's previous arrests include assault on a female, forgery and drug charges. Police have yet to release additional information about Patterson, but said the friend who dropped her off that night is cooperating with the investigation.
