CHARLOTTE -- Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords might make an appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Her husband, retired astronaut Mark Kelly, was at a police luncheon this week in Charlotte and hinted she may make the trip.
"That's a good question somebody asked me that," said Kelly. "That's possible, we have an invitation to come."
Giffords retired from Congress after being shot in the head during a shooting rampage in Arizona in January of 2011 in which six people were killed.
