GREENSBORO – Business owners from the textile industry are trying to find new ways to get more support from the federal government.
Tuesday, dozens of business owners, state and federal leaders met for the 2011 Military Textile and Apparel Conference. The conference serves as a networking opportunity to help companies have a stronger voice in Washington.
“It's a huge opportunity and a huge contribution to the local and state economy,” said Ashley Bullock, who was attending the conference, “Our charge is how do we get more of it.”
The North Carolina Department of Commerce is a major sponsor of the event.
