Elise Roberts anchors the weekend morning newscast on News 14 Carolina. You can also catch her live reports from the field during the week. Elise joined the News 14 Carolina news team in October of 2009 as a reporter in our Greensboro newsroom. Shortly after moving to the Tar Heel state, she became a regular fill-in on the anchor desk. In May of 2012, Elise made the move to the Queen City.
Before moving to North Carolina, Elise spent three years reporting and anchoring on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the award winning WLOX-TV. During her three year stint, Elise primarily covered local politics, including the arrest of Gulfport Mayor Brent Warr on charges defrauding the federal government.
Elise also covered the tragic death of four siblings who were thrown from an Alabama bridge by their father. Her two-week coverage of the search and recovery efforts gained national recognition.
Prior to moving to the Gulf Coast, Elise began her broadcasting career at a WMAZ-TV in Macon, Georgia, as a producer, reporter and entertainment anchor.
Elise has been recognized by the NAACP, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast and a number of other local and state organizations for her service to the youth and the community.
Elise is a native of Marietta, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. She is also an alumna of Kennesaw State University and Tulane University.
