FAYETTEVILLE -- First Lady Michelle Obama was in Fayetteville Thursday.
The First Lady joined the crew of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as they revealed the new house they built for Barbara Marshall and her family. The new home will provide support for homeless female veterans.
A large crowd gathered on Langdon Street for the big reveal of the new home and to try and catch a glimpse of the First Lady.
"I knew the show was big but not that big that she would come all the way out here just for the family. The family must appreciate it or they will when they find out," said Fayetteville resident Sarah Sales.
This is the first time Fayetteville has been featured on the reality show. The episode will air in the fall.
